Wimbledon Men Quarter Finals Results – Wimbledon Men is coming to its final rounds with quarter finals getting done with on day 9. The day had all our favorite stars lined up in action with Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal. Novak Djokovic faced the 21st seed David Goffin of Belgium. Djokovic dominated the Belgian winning straight sets 6-4, 6-0, 6-2. The world number 1 looks in prime form by registering his place in the semi-finals of the majors for the 36th time. Djokovic will be facing Spain’s, Bautista Agut who made his first Grand Slam semi-final with a 7-5, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Argentina’s, Guido Pella. Agut is continuing his dream run as he had never even made the quarters of a grand slam before. Bautista Agut, who has a 3-7 record against the Serb said, “Novak is the number one in the world and he’s playing really well on grass.”

Match of the day included World’s number 8 and Japan’s best Tennis player, Kei Nishikori against the former world number 1 and current world number 2, Roger Federer. This was the match that everybody Tennis fan was waiting to see. As expected, it was a well-contested game by both sides. Nishikori won the first set but Federer managed to win three sets after that, finishing the game 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6-4. The sets were very close with Federer managing to win a breakpoint just at the end. This was Federer’s 100th win at Wimbledon.
Rafael Nadal faced Sam Querrey in the quarters. The Spaniard won the match 7-5, 6-2, 6-2. Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are now set up for the Wimbledon semi-final blockbuster on Wednesday. After 11 years to their epic 2008 title duel, which was widely regarded as ‘The greatest Grand Slam final’ ever played. Friday’s semi-final will be their 40th meeting ( 3rd at Wimbledon) after Federer won the 2006 and 2007 finals before Nadal swept to his famous 2008 triumph. Nadal whose recent 12th Roland Garros victory took him to 18 Slam titles said, “It’s great to be facing Federer at Wimbledon again.” “It’s difficult to imagine to be in that situation again and here we are. I’m excited to play against Roger here at Wimbledon again after such a long time.”
Federer vs Nadal is the biggest tennis rivalry in the world and all the tennis fans all over the world are unable to hold their nerves for this blockbuster semi-final.
