Yuvi achieved the feat of scoring the fastest International half-century in international Cricket. He recorded this feat in the World T20 in 2007. During this knock, he hit a 12 ball half-century against England. Yuvi featured in the top list of this record made by Colin Munro who scored a half-century in just 14 deliveries later. Munro achieved this feat when Sri Lanka played the T20 International series on their tour to New Zealand in 2016.

Yuvi could not replicate his feat in the Indian Premier League as he did for India at the International level. In the year 2014, Yuvi became the most expensive player for the first time when the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise team brought Yuvraj for 14 crores.
