Yuvraj Singh IPL Retirement – Yuvraj Singh announced his retirement from International Cricket earlier this year and now he also says that he will not be playing the next, upcoming IPL 2020 season and that the 2019 IPL was his last.
When the retention players list came out for the 2020 season of the Indian Premier League, everyone was shocked as Mumbai Indian didn’t retain the southpaw, Yuvraj Singh. The former all-rounder played the T20 League in Canada and made it clear that IPL 2019 was to be his last.

In the 2019 season of the IPL, Yuvraj Singh was brought by Mumbai Indians. He went unsold in the 1st round as also in the 2nd round. The Mumbai Indians brought him for the price of Rs 2 Crores. But in that season, Yuvi played very few matches and in most of them, he looked out of touch while he spent time on the cricket field.

He also started his IPL career in a good fashion. Yuvi was with the Kings XI Punjab franchise after which he shifted to Delhi Capitals and then to the orange jersey of Sunrisers Hyderabad before his last stint with Mumbai Indians.

Yuvraj Singh was also the most expensive player in one of the seasons of the Indian Premier League. But, till the last year, his form has not been that great. Many times he looked rusty and out of touch. He often played very slow and because of that Mumbai Indians did not give him lots of chances.
Yuvraj Singh IPL Retirement – Now, Yuvraj Singh will not be seen in any of the teams in the Indian Premier League. He has also received the NOC – No Objection Certificate from The Board of Cricket Control in India – BCCI.
That allowed him to play the overseas leagues. He played for Toronto Nationals in the Global T20 league in Canada, and the 10 league which was held in Abu Dhabi. There, he played for Maratha Arabians which won the title this year and now he is the only player to have won all the titles in all formats of the game of cricket.

According to the policy of BCCI, only the retired players can play and participate in the overseas leagues and now Yuvraj Singh is one of them.
Yuvraj Singh has now officially quit playing in the Indian Premier League. He also quit being in the auctions and in the future, he will not return as a player again for any side.

In 132 IPL matches and 126 innings, Yuvraj has scored 2750 runs at an average of 24.77 with a strike rate of 129.71. He scored 13 half-centuries, 149 sixes, and 217 boundaries. Yuvi also picked up wickets with his bowling. He bowled in 132 matches and 73 innings and picked up 36 wickets to his name with 2 four-wicket hauls at an average of 29.91 and with the economy rate of 7.43.
